John E. Sage, 51, of 6575 Ashley Road, Belding, died Tuesday, March 14, 1995, at
the Hospice Care Center of Grand Rapids.  He was born Oct. 24, 1943, in Belding
to Harry Russell and Dorothy M. Buell Sage.  Mr. Sage owned and operated a fruit
stand but had retired due to ill health.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Sage of Belding; two sons and a
daughter-in-law; Sam Sage of Lansing, and Ed and Barb Sage of Saranac; two
grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Ken Young of Belding; and
one nephew, Richard Church of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home,
Belding, with the Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment will be at Otisco
Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. 
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids.
