Ionia Standard
William Wallace Sage crossed the dark river at 7 a.m. Wednesday, at the home of 
his daughter, Mrs. Harry Jennings, 942 West Main St.  He was a son of David Sage, 
a well known pioneer resident of Easton, and lived on the homestead just west of 
city many years after decease of his father.  He was born in Brantford, Ontario, 
in 1836, and came to Easton in 1856, being nearly 74 years old at time of death.  
He is survived by the wife and one daughter, Mrs. Jennings.  Funeral on Friday 
afternoon at 1:30 from the Jennings home, service by Rev. Mr. Titus of Grand 
Rapids.  Interment, Woodard Lake cemetery.
