Colleen Marie Sailer, 80, of Belding, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 19,
2005, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids.  She was born March
1, 1925, the daughter of Leonard and Rena Tower Irish.

She had lived most of her life in Belding with the exception of two years when
she went to live with her brother in Grand Rapids and graduated in 1943 from
Creston High School.  Colleen’s great loves were family, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.  She loved chocolate, flowers, her cat Buttons, feeding the
squirrels and most of all, her God and church family who were always there for
her.  Colleen was married Oct. 19, 1944, to Robert Sailer in Belding.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1989; parents; two sisters;
one brother, and one great-granddaughter.  Colleen is survived by her children,
Robert and Katherine Sailer of Grand Rapids, Becky and James Petersen of
Belding, Debra and Ronald Lamoreaux of Grattan, David and Angela Sailer of
Belding; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren with one more on the way;
brothers and sisters, Vera Mann of Belding, Robert “Buster” and Margaret Irish
of Carson City, Jean and Raymond Peterson of Ludington; and sister-in-law,
Marion Irish of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding,
with the Rev. Dr. Dick Woodward officiating.  Interment is in Rest Haven Memory
Gardens, Belding.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the
funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be given to First Congregational
Church, the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center or Hospice of Michigan.
