Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. Sept. 18, 1952

Alta M. Salem was born in Alpena, Michigan, May, 1902. She was a resident of 
Muir and Ionia for the past thirty-five years.

She died at the Alpena hospital, Thursday, Sept. 17 where she had been a 
patient since June 19.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Helen Wakeford of Alpena and Mrs. Bertha 
Kauffman of Grand Lake: three brothers, Sam Young of Alpena, Robert Young of 
Milwaukee, Wis., and John Young of Hubbard Lake.

Services will be conducted from the Bannan funeral home in Alpena Saturday, 
Sept. 19 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the family lot, Alpena cemetery.
