                             MICHAEL M. SALLEK

Michael M. Sallek, 87, of 403 Baldie died late Tuesday at Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.

He was born September 22,1881 in Poland the son of Mr.and Mrs.Albert Sallek and 
came to the United States as a young man. January of 1912 he was married in 
Trenton, N.J. to Katherine Stephien. Later in 1912 they came to Ionia where they 
have made their home.

He was employed as a weaver at Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company and was retired 
from Mitchell Bentley Corporation in 1963. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul 
Church.

Besides his wife Katherine he leaves two daughters, Helen Sallek of Ionia and 
Mary Sallek of Fremont; one son, George of Ionia and two grandsons.

Rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 pm at Myers Funeral Home and funeral mass 
will be  Friday at 10 a.m at SS Peter and Paul Church. Interment will be at 
Mt.Olivet Cemetery.
