The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, March 17, 1951

Belding:  Mrs. Orval Salyer, 61, died Thursday in University hospital, Ann 
Arbor, where she had been a patient only four days of a heart condition.  The 
deceased was born in Stanton, March 24, 1889, the daughter of Fred and Santha 
Sherwood.

Surviving besides the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Warner of Okemos 
and Mrs. Katherine Hoteling of Mt. Pleasant; a son, Harold Dickerson of Grand 
Rapids; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 10 o’clock from the Ellis 
funeral home.
