Division, died early Thursday, December 21 in Blodgett Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, following surgery and a long illness. He was born in Croydon, England, April 8, 1892 and came to American in 1915 after spending two years in New Zealand. He was in the dry cleaning shop here as a partner with his brother, Albert for 43 years until 1957 when they sold the business and opened a tailor shop and went into partial retirement. He was married in new York City to Dorothy Duplock of Corydon, England, August 26, 1919. He was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Greenville and was treasurer of the church; he was a member of Belding Lodge No. 355, F. & A.M. and their Past Masters club, a member of Washington Club and Goodfellowship Club. MR. Salzman was an artist and had made many beautiful paintings in oil and water color and also a lot of wood carving in his spare time. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Marjory) Blinn of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Clayton Knapp of R. 3, Belding, and Mrs. Robert Barman, of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Charles of Sheffield, England, and Albert, this city and two grandsons, James and Peter Blinn. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Greenville with Rev. Lyman E. Howard officiating and the burial was in River Ridge cemetery. The body was at Huffman Funeral Home this city until Saturday morning. A memorial fund is being established at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
