He was born January 20, 1925 in Portland the son of Riley, Sr. and Annis Sandborn. He was a lifelong area farmer and was retired from T.R.W. Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving during WWII in the European Theater. He enjoyed sports, gardening, camping, traveling, woodworking and his family pets. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Maxine Volk and Joyce Lyon and a brother, Howard Sandborn. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Maxine "Mackie"' children, Marcia Johnson, Vickey (William) Hedllund, Suzan (Daniel) Baldez, Katherine Benjamin, LaVern (Rosemary) Sandborn, Thomas (Dena) Sandorn; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, June Higbee, Janet (Gerald) Gilbert, Bonnie (Marvin) Jameson, Judy (Al) McCrumb, Betty (Tom) Russell; brothers, Richard (Marcia) Sandborn, Kendall (Barbara) Sandborn, Louis (Mary) Sandborn, and Gary Sandborn; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Marily V. Danielson at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.
