The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Friday, August 22, 1913

Norman T. Sandborn died Tuesday at his home in Portland where for many weeks 
he has been in a critical condition.  Mr. Sandborn was a veteran of the civil 
war and one of the well known residents of the county.  He was for many years 
a deputy sheriff of the county.  He suffered a stroke of paralysis last 
November.  He was 72 years of age.
