Sandborn, 62, of route 1, Portland, was found dead by his son, Jeffery, Monday evening in the sugar bush at his home. He had gone to the bush to tap maple trees. Born October 25, 1911, in Sebewa township he was the son of Lon and Alma Luscher Sandborn. He was a milk distributor 44 years, the past 20 years working for Sealtest. He had retired August 31, 1973. Survivors besides the wife Florence, include three sons, Jeffery of Sunfield, Jack and Daniel of Portland; two daughters of Portland, Mrs. Connie Stiffler, Mrs. Linda Russman; 12 grandchildren, four brothers, Riley Sandborn of Portland; Lawrence Sandborn of Bradenton, Fla., Allen Sandborn, Sr., of Ionia and Melborn Sandborn of Sunfield. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Neller funeral home at Portland. Rev. Harold Homer will officiate and interment will be at Sebewa cemetery.
