Ionia Sentinel - 19 December 1966
Masonic services were Saturday in Portland for Ernest B. Sandborn, 85, of 926 
Hill street, who died December 14 at the home of a daughter in Mulliken.  
Surviving besides a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Fuller of Mulliken are four sons:  
George Sandborn and Russell Sandborn of Portland; Harold Sandborn of Clare and 
Elon Sandborn of Lansing; 93 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

A retired farmer he was a member of Portland Methodist church, life member of 
Portland lodge 31 F&AM, life member of chapter 23 R&AM, member of council 39 
R&AM, DeWitt Clinton consistory, 332nd degree and a member of Saladin temple of 
Grand Rapids.

Bearers were Howard Wilcox, Sam Burman, Jack Hill, Elon Lakin, Robert Phillipe 
and Harold Spence.  Rev. Robert Treat officiated with burial in Portland 
cemetery.
