Feb. 26, 2013 Bobbie Jean Sandborn, 74, of Trenton, N.C., passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at her home. Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley Rouse and Nellie Elizabeth Rouse; four brothers, Jimmy Rouse, Sterling Rouse, Thomas Rouse, all of Trenton, N.C., Wesley Rouse of Kinston, N.C. She is survived by her husband James “Jim” Sandborn; one son, James “Jimmy” Sandborn Jr. (Ashley) of Sioux Falls, S.D., and one daughter, Melissa “Missy” Jones (Robin) of Trenton; four grandchildren, Christopher “CJ” Drysdale (Ruhi) of U.S. Army in Alaska, Alexis Franco, and Wesley “Wes” Jones, both of Trenton, N.C., and Lauren Sandborn of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three grandchildren, Olivia Drysdale, Ryder Drysdale and Paul Drysdale; two brothers, John “Johnny” Rouse (Lois) of Trenton N.C., Harvey Rouse (Sally) of Trenton, N.C.; three sisters, Elsie Philyaw of Pollocksville, N.C., Roxie White (James D.) of New Bern, N.C., and Thomas Earl “Tommy” Rouse Jr. o Pollocksville, N.C. Bobbie was a member of the Cove City Missionary Baptist Church and President of the WMU. She retired after 35 years as a banker for Independent Bank in Ionia, Mich. She filled her days with the joy of grandchildren and staying involved with her church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at Trenton Missionary Baptist Church; at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at Cotton Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cove City Missionary Baptist Church in care of Womens Mission Union, 110 Wintergreen Road, Cove City, NC 28523.
