Sandborn, 90, Portland passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. She was born on September 20, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Shay) Summers. Florence was a member of the Portland United Methodist Church and loved to take walks and spend time outdoors. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making her own cloths, and traveling south with her family. Florence is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, son Jeffery, grandson Jack Jr., and great-granddaughter Allison. She is survived by her children Constance (Robert) Stiffler, Lynda (James) Russman, Jack (Mary) Sandborn, and Daniel Sandborn, daughter-in-law Sharon Sandborn-Ackerson, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, aunt Dorothy Russell-Blackman, sisters-in-law Esther Summers and Ruth Ann Summers, and brother-in-law Melborn (Fannie) Sandborn. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland with Pastor Gregory Wolfe presiding. Interment will take place at East Sebewa Cemetery in the Spring. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
