Rites held For Sopopa Sandoval
Mrs. Sopopa P. Sandoval, 69, of Lansing, passed away Monday forenoon at the Ingham 
extended Care Facility at Okemos where she had been a patient for three months.

She was born August 15, 1903 in Junction, Texas , the daughter of Jesus and Libergia
(Garcia) Prunca and moved to the Lake Odessa area in 1941. She was employed by the 
Lake Odessa canning company during World War II and later after moving to Lansing
was a press operator at the capitol laundry in Lansing from 1959 to 1968 when she
retired.

Her husband, Raymond Rivera passed away in 1933 and in 1934 she married John
Sandoval and his death occurred in 1968.

Mrs. Sandoval reposed at the Pickens Funeral Chapel at Lake Odessa where the rosary
was recited Tuesday evening at 7:30. funeral services were held on Wednesday at ten
o'clock at St. Edwards church with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Robert Maternoski
officiated.
