Sanford, a resident and former subscription agent in this city, and perhaps as widely known as any one to the people of Ionia county. He was taken sick about two weeks ago. His brother Bert went there to take care of him, and it was intended to move him to Ionia, but he was too ill to bear the journey, and Bert remained with him. The disease was first pronounced typhoid fever, and later ulceration of the stomach. The remains arrived here on Thursday. Mr. Sanford lost his wife some years ago, and his two lovely little girls, aged 10 and 14, are now bereft of the care of a kind father.
