Ionia Sentinel - 15 May 1969
Mrs. Arvilla Sargeant, 77, died unexpectedly at her home on route 1, 
Wednesday.  Born December 5, 1891, in Sebewa township she was a daughter of 
Henry Treece and Martha Rodget (cq).  Mrs. Sargeant was married on August 14, 
1909 to the late John Sargeant who preceded her in death in February, 1954.  
She was a member of the Hope church of the Brethren, located west of Lake 
Odessa.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carroll Brodbeck of Lake Odessa, and Mrs. 
Harris Ingerham of Grand Ledge; two sons John of Jackson and George of Lake 
Odessa; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Also surviving is one 
sister, Mrs. Hazel Comstock, Grand Ledge.

The body is at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa where funeral service will 
be at 1:30 pm Saturday.  Burial will be in South Boston cemetery.
