Susan was born on July 27, 1951 in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Charles W "Bill" and Margaret "Mary" (Gleason) Brimmer. On August 5, 1967, Susan married Norm Sargeant in Sylvania, Pennsylvania and together they enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Susan worked for many years as a laundry attendant in many of the local laundry mats. She was a member of Greenville Community Church, loved to knit and crochet, and especially liked making hats for the babies that were born at the local hospitals and also for the kids at the local schools. Susan is loved and survived by her husband; Norm, their children; Daniel (Brenda) Sargeant, Dennis (Debra) Sargeant, Darlene (David Lundy), her grandchildren; Teddy, Tamarah, Dennis, Debra, Tim, Todd, Tarah Sue, Hunter, Tucker, six great grandchildren, her siblings; Shirley (Richard) King of Orleans, Sally Wilson of Bath, NY, Rose Marie Innes of Elmira, NY, James (Kathy) Brimmer of Savona, NY, Helen Murray of Ionia, Twila (Edward) Nicholson of Fountain, Florida, Brian Shutz of Bath, NY, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Susan is preceded by her parents, a son; Don Sargeant, her brothers; William “Art” Brimmer, Dale Brimmer, and her step mother; Mildred Brimmer. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place; memorial services for Susan will be on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 5:00pm at Greenville Community Church with Pastor Joel Heron officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at church. Burial will be at a later date in Orleans Township Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Susan’s name to Greenville Community Church.
