Funeral Rites Held Today for George Sargeant

George H. Sargeant, 42, passed away at his home Tuesday morning.

He was born at Lake Odessa Sept. 20, 1929, son of John and Arvile (Treese) 
Sargeant, and was a lifelong resident of the area. A graduate of Lake Odessa 
High School in 1949 he was also a graduate from Pine Lake Rehabilitation School 
in upholstery at Yankee springs. He was a member of Hope Church of the Brethren.

George was employed by the Mitchell-Bentley Corp. of Ionia 15 years and was vice 
president of the Auto Makers Credit Union of Ionia.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs.Carroll (Illa) Brodbeck of Lake Odessa and Mrs. 
Harris (Marvis) Ingraham of Grand Ledge, and a brother, John of Jackson.

Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 1:30 at Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial in South Boston Cemetery.
