Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Ivy A. Satterlee, 61, of Evergreen Trailer Park died early Sunday morning at 
Ionia County Memorial hospital after being a patient one day.  Born in Ionia, 
June 12, 1912, she was the daughter of William and Amarilla Cain Bowers.  She 
lived most of her life in the Ionia area graduating from Ionia high school.  She 
worked 10 years at Mercy hospital in Cadillac and operated a convalescent home 
near Sheridan eight years.  August 14, 1959, she was married in Belding to 
Leonard Satterlee and made her home in Ionia since her marriage, the past two 
years at the trailer park.

Surviving are her husband, Leonard; three daughters, Mrs. Joanne Robinson of 
Grand Ledge, Mrs Doris Watkins and Mrs Lillian Dukes of Ionia; five stepsons, 
Kenneth Satterlee of Lebanon, Conn., Charles of Nokomis, Fla., Jerrold, Stuart 
and Richard, all of Ionia; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Jacquelyn Sawtell of Ionia, 
Mrs Mary Ellen Dickson of Kindee, Charlene Satterlee of Grand Rapids, Mrs Sharon 
Kennedy of LaSalle and Mrs Kay Booth of Grand Rapids; 41 grandchildren; five 
great grandchildren; and mother, Mrs Rilla Dean of Cadillac.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Leddick funeral home.  Rev Gilbert 
Kohler of First Baptist church will officiate and interment will be at Tuttle 
cemetery.  Family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 pm.
