The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, August 1, 1949
Mrs. Bernice Saur, 71, died at the home of her son Wilbur in Easton township 
Sunday afternoon after being ill two weeks.  She was born June 4, 1878 in 
Alpine township, Kent county.  She has lived here with her son for the past 
five years, coming from Cedar Springs.

Surviving are the son, a daughter, Lucille Williams of Riverside, California; 
and six grandchildren.

Myers funeral home has made the funeral arrangements which will be held 
Tuesday afternoon from the Bettis funeral chapel in Sparta.  Interment will be 
made in Greenwood cemetery, Grand Rapids.
