Augustus C. Savage quits his labors. Mr. Savage was born in Philadelphia, Penn., Aug. 4, 1820. Coming to Michigan in 1842, his home being in the town of Easton. He enlised in the United States service in 1861, serving to the close of the war. We will then say of him he was a patriot as well as a Christian. Light be the ashes we throw on the casket, As we lay our friends beneath the green sod. Their dust Mother earth will hold in her keeping. Till the trumpet will sound, which wakens the God.
