Services Held For Fern L. Sawdy

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:00 o'clock for Mrs. Fern L. Sawdy, 73, 
of Route 1, Woodland, at the Estes-Leadley Colonial Chapel at Lansing with 
burial in Glendale Cemetery.

Mrs. Sawdy had been a resident of the Lansing area most of her life and was a 
former employee of Nash and the George T. Smith grocery stores. Mrs. Sawdy was a 
member of the Charlotte Senior Citizens.

Surviving are two sons, Jay W. Thompson of Mission, Kans., and Howard F. 
Thompson of Lansing; a daughter, Mrs. George Bellows of Eaton Rapids; eight 
grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Harvey Stark of Saginaw and 
Henry Stark of Okemos, and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Gardner of Lansing and Mrs. 
Caroline Wolf of Jackson.
