Funeral Services Held For LeRoy Sawdy

LeRoy Sawdy, 60, farmer, rte 1, Woodland, passed away early Friday morning at 
Ferguson-Droste-Ferguson hospital, Grand Rapids. He had been a patient there for 
two weeks and was transferred from Pennock hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of Woodland township and a graduate of Woodland High 
School. His parents were Homer and Daisy Sawdy.

Surviving are his wife Fern; two sons, David of Lansing and Melvin of the U.S. 
Navy, stationed at Norfolk, Va.; a daughter Mrs.Phyllis Lang of Battle Creek; 
one sister Mrs.Elmer (Pauline) Rayner of Hastings; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial in the Woodland Memorial cemetery.
