The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, November 17, 1958
Mrs. Lucille I. Sawdy, 44, of route one Woodland, died Sunday at 12:55 a.m. at 
Ferguson-Droste hospital at Grand Rapids, where she had been hospitalized for 
the past five weeks.  She had been in ill health for more than a year.  She 
was born April 14, 1914 in Barry County., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace 
Bronson.  Her mother was the former Iva House.  Mrs. Sawdy spent most of her 
life in Barry County and was married to Leroy Sawdy in June of 1955.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy, and one daughter, Mrs. Merlin Hummel 
and a son Loren Davon Hamilton both of Ionia, by a former marriage; one 
sister, Mrs. Rose Oliver of Grand Rapids; and one granddaughter.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens funeral chapel 
at Lake Odessa.  Burial will be in Rutland cemetery in Barry county.  The Rev. 
Roy Palmer will officiate.
