Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday. Mr. Sayers was born in Cleveland, Ohio and came to Portland when eight years of age. For a number of years he lived at the Fred Knox farm south west of town. Several years ago he bought a farm near Ionia where he resided until last fall when he rented the place and moved to Muir. He is survived by a widow and two sons, Glen of Lansing and Howard who was on his way to Florida at the time of his father’s death. Two brothers, Daniel and John, both of Portland, also survive.
