Portland Review-Thurs. July 25, 1946

Day Sayers, Long a Local Resident, Dies at Ionia Sunday.
Day Sayers, died at the County Home Sunday afternoon. He was 70 years old and had
resided there some time. Funeral services were held at the Bandfield Funeral home here
onTuesday afternoon and burial was in Portland cemetery. Rev. Benjamin Davies officiated.
 
Mr. Sayers was born in Portland and had spent most of his lifetime here. He was a
son of the late George Sayers.
