The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 16, 1919

Benjamin Leroy Sayles died at his home on Tuesday morning at 7 o’clock, at the 
age of 65 years.  The funeral will be held at the home at 7 Stevenson Place, 
Thursday at 2:30 and interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

Subsequent Publication:  Wednesday, September 17, 1919

The funeral for Benjamin Leroy Sayles will be held at the home on Stevenson 
Place Thursday at 2:30, Rev. E. E. Branch officiating, and interment will be 
in Oak Hill.  

Mr. Sayles leaves to mourn his loss a widow, and the following children: Mrs. 
Ruby Payne, Mrs. Norah Renslaer, Guy Sayles of Ionia, M. S. Sayles of Flint, 
Forrest Sayles of Sturgis, and Mrs. Maude Sayles of Salem, Ore., besides seven 
brothers and three sisters.
