Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, April 9, 1977

LYONS- Clarence E. Scarbrough, 75, of 1444 Guernsey road, suffered a fatal 
heart attack at his home Friday afternoon and was pronounced dead on arrival at 
Ionia county Memorial hospital.

He was born in Elsie, January 5, 1902 the son of Daniel and Minerva Aunspaw 
Scarbrough. He attended schools in Elsie.

August 11, 1950 he married the former Mildred Guernsey. They made their home on 
Guernsey road since their marriage.

He was employed by the Ionia county road commission for many years, retiring in 
1962.

He is survived by his wife.

Services are Monday at 2 pm from the Leddick funeral home with Rev. Dr. Lloyd 
Walker of LeValley United Methodist church officiating. 

Burial is in Tuttle cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Saturday 7 to 
9 pm and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 9 pm.
