Ionia Sentinel - Thursday, Sept. 1, 1892

There was a large attendance at the funeral of the late Miss Ella Scarlett last 
Thursday. Rev. W.H. Scott spoke feelingly and their was a very sympathetic 
sentiment evident in everyone present. There were many beautiful floral tributes 
about the white casket and the top being removed the body appeared to rest in a 
bed of roses.
