Aug. 16, 1965 A.C. Schadler, 79, resident of Ionia more than 50 years, died Sunday morning at his home at 901 West Main street. Born November 17, 1885 in Howard City, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Schadler and was married in 1913 to Elsie Walker. She preceded him in death in 1950. By trade, Mr. Schadler was a hand carver and cabinet maker and worked for Stafford Manufacturing company until it closed. From 1940 until his retirement at Superior Manufacturing company in Lowell. Surviving are a son, Herman Schadler of Grandville; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Wizorek; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herman of Missoula, Mont. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Myers funeral home. The Rev. Fr. Charles Lynch of Greenville Episcopal church will officiate and interment will be at Oak Hill cemetery. Schadler, 79, who died at his home, 901 West Main street, Sunday morning. Bearers were Vance, Arthur and Donald Kauffman, Gerald, Robert and Edward Cusack. Interment was at Oak Hill cemetery. Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schadler and family of Grandville, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Koning of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Harry Shaler and family of Lowell.
