             SCHAEFER

Ronald Lewis Schaefer age 85 of Fenwick passed away January 7, 2024. He was born 
April 30, 1938 in Grand Ledge the son of Arthur and Marguerette (Kebler) 
Schaefer. Ron was a graduate of Lyons High school with Class of 1956. He served 
in the Marines.

Ron loved Dancing, Metal Detecting, and Tinkering in the Garage.

He is survived by the love of his life for 47 year, Ruth Schaefer of Fenwick. 
Children; Daniel (Dawn) Schaefer, Julie (Shelby)Shondell and Rhonda (Ryan) 
Richie. Stepchildren; Pamela (Kirk) Underwood and Michael Rischow. Several 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother:Richard (Linda) Schaefer. 
Sisters; Patricia Croel and Diane Rowe.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, sons Dennis and Mark and brothers Bud 
and Kent.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be at East Sebewa Cemetery Friday, 
April 26th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg Gladding officiating.Arrangement 
in care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
