The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, January 6, 1944
Arthur W. Schaefer, 44, died suddenly Thursday morning at his farm home in 
Lyons after a brief illness.  He was born January 11, 1899, in Fredonia, N.Y.  
He had always done factory work until recently when he purchased a farm near 
Lyons, and had moved there.  

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; nine children, Helen of Muir, Arlene, 
Phyllis, Robert, Ronald, Richard, Kent Brian, Patricia Jeanne and Buddy Roger, 
all at home.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.  The body will repose at the 
Shaw funeral chapel at Muir.
