Renada Rene Schafer, 32, of Muir, passed away on June 13, 2014 of cancer.  She 
passed away at home surrounded by family and friends. 

Renada was the wife of Darren; mother of Makayla 11, and Thomas 7; daughter of 
Angela Misner and Robert Bennett; granddaughter of Robert and Margaret Bennett; 
daughter-in-law of Lucille Schafer. 

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mickey Misner; grandparents Dick 
and Bonnie Misner; father-in-law, Ken Schafer and uncles Willie Bennett, Gary 
Shields, Bob Cook and Don Schafer. 

Renada loved to sit on her deck in the sunshine and watch birds eat at the 
feeders.  She loved her children more than anything and was very protective of 
them.  She deeply loved her husband and a lot of her family and friends.  She 
received a degree in cosmetology after being raised in the Ionia, Palo and Muir 
areas.  She proudly admitted to being a "coupon Betty". 

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the 
Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.  Interment will be in North Plains 
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 
the funeral home.
