                              Kenneth E.Schafer

Kenneth E.Schafer, 64, of Muir passed away June 24, 2008 in Muir.

He was born feb.16,1944 in Hubbardston, the son of Edward and Rita (Wohlfert) 
Schafer.Kenneth married Lucille Fox in Pewamo, June 16, 1965. He farmed the 
family farm all his life and was a member of St.John the  Baptist Church of 
Hubbardston. He enjoyed square dancing, antique and gas engine shows.

ken is survived by his loving wife of nearly 43 years, Lucille Schafer of Muir; 
children, Mary (Steven) Maxon of Lyons,David Schafer of Muir, Michael Schafer of 
Muir, Ronald Schafer of Muir, Frank (Barbara) Schafer of Portland, Darren 
(Renada)Schafer of Muir and Darcie Schafer of Grand Rapids; brothers, Donald 
Schafer of Hubbardston, Fred Schafer of Portland, Raymond Schafer of Houghton 
Lake, Louis (Celeste) Schafer of Lyons and Edwin (Mary Ellen) Schafer of 
Portland; sisters, Joan Watson of Dewitt, Edna (Dennis) Benner of Fenwick, 
Loretta (Rob) Temple of Sparta and Adeline (Ed) Reisbig of Ionia; grandchildren, 
Christopher, Makayla and Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister Suzanna.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at St.John The Baptist 
in Hubbardston with Father Charlon Mason Celebrant.Interment North Plains 
Cemetery.The family will receive family and relatives Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. 
at Lake Funeral Home in Muir. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in
