The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, December 27, 1956

Mrs. Emilie Schaffer, 82, died at her home in Saginaw Wednesday morning where 
she had resided since 1933 when she left Ionia.  She was the wife of Ernest 
Schaffer who died April 6, 1949.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Pete Schneider of Saginaw and one son, Ewald 
Schaffer of Detroit. 

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the 
Boynton funeral home with the Rev. August Bernthal and the Rev. Francis C. 
Rossow officiating.  Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
