Rosaline R. Schanski, 89, of Ionia passed away Jan. 6, 2013 in Ionia. She was 
born June 9, 1923 in Pewamo, the daughter of Jacob and Matilda (Schafer) Cook.

Roasline married Joseph Schanski Aug. 13, 1946 in Pewamo. He preceded her in 
death in 2005. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

Rosaline is survived by her children, Linda Schanski of Portland, Pete 
(Saundra) Schanski of Ionia, Rich (Pam) Schanski of Ionia, Deb (Scott) Pickens 
of Duck Lake and Sheila Fuller of Ionia; grandchildren, Renee, Lyndsey, Matt, 
Erin, Drew, Tyler, Kra and Lauren; great grandchildren Olin and Grace; sisters, 
Geraldine (Don) Schafer of Westphalia and Kate (Bill) Bushon of Ionia; and 
sister-in-law Joanne Cook of Pewamo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and three 
sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 22 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at SS Peter & 
Paul Catholic Church of Ionia with Father Thomas Boufford celebrant. No 
visitation.
