Obituary of Mrs.Robert J. Schaus

Cora Estella Smoke was born in Ionia county on March 3, 1882, and passed away to 
her reward on Thursday, Dec. 17, 1942. Her early life was spent here in Lake 
Odessa and she was converted and baptized in the Congregational Church here. For 
many years she was an active worker in the church, until ill health prevented. 
She was aways ready to aid those in need, and gave of her time and talents quite 
generously

 On November 8, 1911, she was married to Robert J. Schaus they lived in Detroit 
for about 20 years, moving to Lake Odessa 12 years ago, and made their home on 
the the farm north of this village that had been the home of Mrs. Schaus' 
parents.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her beloved husband, Robert J. Schaus, and her 
sister, Mrs. Carrie Anderson at Glendale, Cal., and many friends.
