Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard
Mrs. Margie Sheaffer, 68, died Saturday night at Carson City Hospital.  She had 
been hospitalized three days for a heart condition.  She was born North Plains 
township February 6, 1893, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Crandall, and 
had lived in that area all her life.  She was married February 12, 1912 to 
Lawrence Sheaffer and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year.  
Surviving are her husband, Lawrence; five sons, Howard, Philip, and Maxwell of 
Muir, Verle at home and Marvin of Saline; a daughter, Mrs. Demerice Marshall of 
Holt; a brother, Arthur Crandall of Muir, a sister, Mrs. Dean Steward of Drayton 
Plains, and 20 grandchildren.

Service will be Wednesday at 2 pm at North Plains Community church with the Rev. 
B. R. Davis of Middleton officiating.  Burial will be at North Plains cemetery.  
Bearers will be Gary, James, Lawrence, Thomas, Daniel and Roland Sheaffer, all 
grandsons of Ms. Sheaffer.  Funeral arrangements are by Estep funeral home in 
Muir.
