Sarah was born in Smyrna on April 5, 1934, the daughter of Hubert and Irma Rowley Reeves. She graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1952. Sarah married Arthur Scheid at St. Mary Catholic Church on Oct. 20, 1956 and he preceded her on July 22, 1995. She is also preceded by her parents; sons Stephen and Gordon; sister Eunice Clark; and two brother-in-laws and a sister-in-law, Walter Scheid, Gerald and Amata Scheid. She worked at Belding Products and later retired from Frigidaire in Greenville in 1996. Sarah was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Miriam, she loved to square dance, bowl, sew, crochet and loved romance novels. Sarah will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is loved and survived by her children, Theodore and Dorothy Scheid, Frederick G. and Lisa Scheid, Edward A. and Sandra Scheid, all of Belding, Arthur J and Joy Scheid, Patrick M. Scheid and Sue Carter, all of Greenville. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Maryann Reeves of Belding; her sister Eula “Pudge” Blanding of Greenville; and several close friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Miriam with Father Phil Shangraw presiding. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorials may be given to S. Mary Catholic Church or the Alvah N.
