Belding Banner-News, 23 Apr 1964

Mrs. Rose Scheid, age 86, of Krupp Rd., died Friday morning at United Memorial
hospital where she had been a patient for the past ten days.  She had been ill
for several weeks.  Born in Otisco township, Ionia county, April 30, 1877, Mrs.
Scheid had been a life-long resident of the Belding area.  She was the daughter
of Anthony and Josephine Shindorf and was married January 17, 1899 to Frederick
M. Scheid who died in 1928.

Mrs. Scheid belonged to St. Mary’s church, Miriam and to the Altar Society.

Her survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Keriger of Ludington
and Miss Marion Scheid of route 1; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Mary’s church, Miriam, with
Father January O.F.N. officiating.  Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery.  Rosary
was recited Sunday.
