Arthur A. Scheid, 68, of Belding, passed away Saturday, July 22, 1995, at
Hayes-Green-Bach hospital in Charlotte.  He was born March 26, 1927, in Belding,
to Theodore P. and Christine E. (Kessler) Scheid.  A 1946 graduate of Belding
High School, he was a farmer and member of St. Mary’s Church of Miriam.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah; six sons, Theodore and Dorothy Scheid, Frederick
and Lisa Scheid, Edward and Sandra Scheid and Gordon Scheid, all of Belding,
Arthur J. and Joy Scheid of Stanton and Patrick Scheid of Lowell; one
sister-in-law, Amata Scheid, of Belding; and 14 grandchildren.  He was preceded
in death by one son, Stephan Scheid, in 1960, and two brothers, Gerald and
Walter Scheid, in 1985 and 1993, respectively.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Church of Miriam, Belding, with the Rev. George Darling officiating.  A vigil
service will be held today at 8 p.m. with Deacon Howard Scheid conducting the
service.  Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Belding.  Visitation will be
today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding.
