Excerpts from obituary:
Konrad Josef Scheid, died April 16, 2018-age 91 at Lansing
Born March 3, 1927 in Tawern, Germany son of Matthias and Maria Scheid.
Preceded in death in 2016 by wife of 59 years, Eleanor Scheid.
Survived by son and daughter, two grandchildren, brother, sisters and family members
in the U.S., Germany and Canada.
was employed by Motor Wheel, Rio Motors and retired from Oldsmobile in 1987.
He served in the German Navy, transferred to German Army, then months as a POW.
In 1952 nine months after immigrating to U.S, was drafted & served in the U.S.
Army.
Funeral services planned in June for at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly,
MI.
Any memorial contributions may be made to the leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
