Ionia County News - Thursday, Nov. 1, 1962

Christine E. Scheid, 68, of 6288 Ellison Road, Rt. 2, Belding, passed away 
Friday, October 26, at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital

Mrs. Scheid was born in Otisco Township on November 11, 1893, the daughter of 
William and Mary Heether Kessler. She had lived in the Otisco-Keene township 
area all her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and St. Mary's Alter 
Society. On November 14, 1916, she was united in marriage to Theodore P. 
Scheid, who passed away in January, 1941.

Surviving are three sons, Walter, Gerald and Arthur, all of Rt. 2, Belding; one 
sister, Ms. Clara Brauer, of Evart, Michigan; two brothers, Lewis W. Kessler, 
of Arcannon, Ohio and Albert Kessler, of Big Rapids; and five grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 30, at (illegible) a.m. at St. 
Mary's Church, in Miriam. The Rev. Father Charles E. Steves officiated. 
Interment was in the St. Mary's Church Cemetery, in Miriam.

Rosary was recited Monday evening, October 29, at 8:00 p.m., at the Huffman 
funeral Home, in Belding.
