Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday May 23, 1957

GLENDON SCHEIDT DIED MONDAY
Glendon H.Scheidt 63, passed away Monday noon at Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids 
where he had been a patient for three weeks, after an extended illness.

A Hardware merchant he had operated the Scheidt Hardware for 20 years and 
previous to that was associated in the business with his father the late James 
Scheidt.

A graduate of the local high school for a number of years he played saxophone 
and clarinet in the Charles Fisher Band, and also had his own dance Orchestra in 
his early years and was aways interested in Athletics.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude, three sons, Wendell of Lake Odessa, Woodrow 
and Winston of Clearwater, Florida, his mother Mrs.Dora Scheidt; two sisters 
Mrs.Doris Northrup of Lansing and Mrs.Gayle (Bernice) Galloway of Ionia; one 
brother Bernard of Alto and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with 
burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. Paul Robinson officiated.
