Lake Odessa Wave - November 19, 1970
          GERTRUDE SCHEIDT PASSES AWAY
   Mrs. Gertrude L. Scheidt, 73, of Lake Odessa, passed away at the Barry County
Medical Facility Tuesday 
afternoon after a long illness.  She had been cared for at the facility the past two
years.
   Mrs. Scheidt was born in Barryton March 26, 1897, the daughter of Anson and
Frances (Fell) Rubedeo.
   She is survived by three sons; Woodrow J. of Lansing, Winston J. of Dunedin,
Fla., and Wendell B. of Lake 
Odessa; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Vern (Ada)
Braden of Lake George 
and Mrs. Grover (Lallah) Ward of Lake Odessa.
   Her husband, Glendon H. Scheidt, died May 20, 1959.
   Services for Mrs. Scheidt will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at Pickens
Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Marvin 
Zimmerman officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
