Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Funeral services for Charles Scheidt were held at the Stone funeral home 
Thursday afternoon, December 24 at two o’clock.  Rev. Carlyle Haynes of Lansing, 
officinated and was assisted by his son, Rev Donald Haynes.  Interment was at 
Saranac cemetery.  Pallbearers were George Coe, Sr., Herbert A. Ross, George 
Petrie, Frank Root, Dale K. Jepson and Frank Stevens.

Those from out-of-town who attended are Prof. and Mrs Chester Willard and 
children of Evanston, Illinois, Mrs. Carolyn Friedman and Mrs. Margaret Albert 
of Grand Rapids, Mr and Mrs William Henry, Mr and Mrs R. K. Henry and Mr and Mrs 
O.K. Henry of Saranac; John Krupp, Mr and Mrs Glenn Brestly, George Scheidt, 
Peter Shindorf, Alfred Jonas, Mr and Mrs John Metternich, Mr and Mrs Theodore 
Scheidt and M. A. Anderson of Belding.
