Lake Odessa Wave - March 12, 1963
          EARL H. SCHELTERS PASSES AWAY FRIDAY

   Earl. H. Schelters, 60 passed away Friday night at Pennock hospital, Hastings,
where he was hospitalized 
for two days.  He had been in ill health for several years.

   Earl was born at Woodbury but had spent all his life in the local area and for
several years had lived with his 
daughter Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schriver at Vermontville.

  His wife, Pauline, passed away in 1933.

   Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Schriver and Mrs. L.D. (Donna) Wolcott of Ionia;
two sons, Earl Jr. of 
Arcadia, Calif., and Donald of rural Lake Odessa; twelve grandchildren and a sister,
Mrs. Tillie Shellenbarger of 
Lansing.

   Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with
burial in Lakeside 
cemetery. Rev. L.V. Runyon officiated.
