John Schenden, aged 35 years, died at the home of Ed. O’Donnell, at Alma, on 
Saturday morning, January 31, following a short illness.  The remains reached 
here Saturday afternoon and were taken to the old Schenden homestead, south of 
town.  The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Mary’s 
Catholic church, Rev. Fr. John A. Klick, officiating, and burial was in St. 
Mary’s cemetery.
