BELDING- Robert Schenden, 64, of 330 West May Street, Belding, died Thursday in 
St. Mary’s Hospital, Grand Rapids.

Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Greenville, he was the son of George and Sophia Belke 
Schenden. He retired in 1988 from Extruded Metals, Belding, after 32 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, a life member of the Knights of 
Columbus, and amembe3r of Hugo Fales Post 203, American Legion.

He was married Jan. 31, 1948, in Greenville to the former Leonore Muns; she 
survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Margaret Schenden of Ada; two sons, George of 
Belding and James of Greenville; six grandchildren; and a brother, Richard of 
Boyne City.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, with the Rev. 
Charlon Mason officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Miriam Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
