The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, February 26, 1946
Mrs. Mary Schenk, 73, 457 State street, died Tuesday morning at the home of 
Mrs. Godlieb Weeh after an illness of about a year and a half.  She was born 
in Germany June 30, 1872, and at the age of 22 came to this country. 

She is survived by two sisters, Katherine Weeh and Mrs. Godlieb Weeh, both of 
Ionia, and a brother and sister in Germany.

Services will be held from the SS Peter and Paul church Thursday morning at 
9:00 o’clock, interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Rosary will be said 
Wednesday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the Boynton funeral home.

Subsequent Publication:  Thursday, February 28, 1946

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Schenk, 73, who died at the home of Mrs. 
Godlieb Weeh Tuesday, were held from the SS peter and Paul church Thursday 
morning at 9:00 o’clock with the Rev. Father John S. Fons officiating.  
Interment was at the Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Bearers were Joseph Fox, Joseph 
Waidelich, Wayne Peterson and John Toutenhoofd.
